Behaviour modification package sessions are valid for 6 months from the time of purchase.

We also offer an Emergency Management Session for those feeling overwhelmed and unsure of how to address their pet's behaviour. It’s designed to help you implement effective management strategies to ensure everyone's safety. This session is available for $170 NOW $153 per hour.During that hour, the behaviour coach will do the following things:

  • Review the pre-visit questionnaire and collect a brief history of the behaviour concerns and other relevant information needed to come up with behaviour management recommendations for your individual animal.
  • Observe the animal’s behaviour and how they are interacting with the new environment.
  • Discuss canine/feline body language and how animals communicate, as well as pointing out what body language they are observing in your pet on the day.
  • Discuss recognising signs of escalation in behaviour and the importance of intervening early.
  • Offer recommendations for environmental management strategies for your individual animal’s behaviour concerns taking into consideration the humans involved in the animal’s life.
  • Discuss with you, recommendations on future behaviour needs whether it is behaviour modification sessions with a trainer or if a veterinary behaviour assessment is warranted in your pet’s case.
  • After the session you will receive a summary of what was discussed.

Research Project exploring factors influencing Owners' decision-making around dog walking

Dr Bronwen, in partnership with the University of Lincoln, is running a research project looking into some of the factors that affect dog owners' decisions about walking, or not walking, their dogs.
The outcome of the study may aid in highlighting factors which influence implementation of veterinary advice, and lead to further research in how to tailor treatment plans for dogs and their owners, to lead to better outcomes for dogs and owners.
The survey is anonymous and open to anyone over 18 years of age who currently owns a dog.
